Alice M. Foley BERGSTROM, 71, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away after a courageous 24-year battle with cancer on October 13, 2026 with her husband, Kevin, and pastor, Jess Miller, at her side. 

Born December 31, 1954, in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of Francis W. and Berniece K. Foley. Alice grew up in Belfast, NY, where she graduated from Belfast Central School. On October 17, 1992, in Loveland, CO, she married Kevin Bergstrom, who survives. Surviving besides her husband, Kevin, are: a son, Shane (Stacy) and grandchildren Grace and Jeremy; a daughter, Carisa (Paul) and granddaughters Brenna and Emma; siblings, Ronald (Suzanne), Thomas, Joseph, Timothy (Laura), and Ann (John) Tobias; and many nieces and nephews. 

After many years working in accounting and payroll positions, Alice became a licensed realtor in 2002, the same year she was diagnosed with cancer. She then transitioned to Real Estate Broker and Foundation Administrator for a non-profit. In 2014, Alice and Kevin moved to the Western Slope of Colorado for a somewhat quieter life and more outdoor activities and became members of Calvary Bible Church. Alice had strong Christian Faith and knew she would rest in the presence of her savior Jesus Christ. She didn’t let cancer treatments slow her down as she and Kevin made several trips across the country with a travel trailer and Riley their Great Pyrenees. 

Alice had a passion for people. It didn’t take long for her to meet and form close friendships with everyone in the neighborhood. She often hosted a church Christmas Party in her home and launched the local National Night Out to gather neighbors and police/first responders together to express support and appreciation. Those who knew her were blessed by her compassion, her thoughtfulness, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. Her determination to live fully despite her years-long battle with cancer was inspiring. She will be dearly missed by her friends, family, neighbors, caregivers, and church community. 

Funeral service will be held at Calvary Bible Church in Grand Junction, CO on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM (Mountain Time) with a reception to follow at Chipeta Colf Course. The service will be live streamed on YouTube at Calvary Bible Church Grand Junction.
