Obituary

Alice Kellogg FROST

1932 – 2026

It is with love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Alice Kellogg Frost, who peacefully passed away at the age of 94 on July 6, 2026.

Born June 19, 1932, in Shinglehouse, PA, she was the beloved daughter of Alonzo Albertus “Bert” and Doris A. Perry Kellogg. Alice grew up surrounded by a large, loving family as one of nine siblings and was the last surviving member of her brothers and sisters, a testament to a remarkable generation whose love and traditions she carried forward throughout her life. Alice devoted her life to her family and took great pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She married the love of her life, Walter “Walt” Frost, with whom she shared 40 wonderful years until his passing. Together they raised five children, creating a home filled with laughter, compassion, and unwavering support.

A firm believer in the value of education and lifelong learning, Alice first attended college to study accounting and enjoyed a successful career in the field. Later, she returned to school to earn her paralegal credentials and worked as a paralegal until retiring at the age of 61. Retirement only opened the door to new adventures. She went back to college once again, taking art, language, and a wide variety of other classes simply because they sparked her curiosity. Alice never stopped learning and inspired those around her with her enthusiasm for discovering something new. From the age of 63 until she was 80, Alice dedicated countless hours as a volunteer with the Red Cross, giving generously of her time and compassion to serve others. Her commitment to helping those in need reflected the kindness and generosity that defined her life. She found joy in gardening, hosting family gatherings, knitting, reading, traveling, and spending time with those she loved. She was known for her determined spirit, quiet strength, generous heart, and ability to make everyone feel welcome.

Alice is lovingly survived by four of her five children, Stuart (Brenda) Frost, Terri (Dan) Steinbar, Sandra Frost, and Mark (Beth) Frost; her son-in-law, Tom Savino; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish her memory. She was welcomed into eternal rest by her beloved husband, Walt; her parents; all eight of her brothers and sisters; her cherished daughter, Jaci; and her precious great-granddaughter, Adriana. Alice leaves behind a legacy not measured only in years, but in the lives she touched through kindness, patience, faith, curiosity, and unconditional love. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her example will continue to inspire future generations.
