Arthur H. "Art" LEED, 83, of Westfield, PA, formerly of Ephrata, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Green Home, Wellsboro, PA.
*****A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church, Gaines, PA, with the Rev. Rob Anderson officiating. A luncheon will follow.*****
*****A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2016 in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Brickerville, PA.*****
Born November 26, 1932, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Sherman and Lillian Levering Leed.
He shared his life together with the former Sharon "Sherry" White for 41 years. She survives.
He was employed as a supervisor by Motor Truck Equipment Co. in Lancaster, truck driver by E.J. Breneman in Pottstown, and was last a self-employed carpenter.
Art was a member of Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church in Gaines and Cowanesque Lodge #351, F&AM in Knoxville, PA.
Surviving besides his wife, Sherry, are: three children, Jay (Julie) Leed of Lancaster, Ray (Sue) Leed Lititz, and Kay (Douglas) Cassel of Lititz; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Janis) Leed of Summerfield, FL; a sister, Edna Trostle of Lititz; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Phares, Sherman, and Melvin; two sisters, Esther Kiehl and Dorothy Leed.
Memorials may be made to the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2, Galeton, PA 16922 or the Green Home Patient Activity Fund, 37 Central Ave., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.
