Ashley R. ROBICHAUD, 38, and her daughter, Emersyn E. ROBICHAUD, 6, of Wellsville, NY, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at their home.
Born February 1, 1988, in Lockport, Ashley was the daughter of Richard and Charlotte Payne Craig. She was a 2006 graduate of Starpoint Junior/Senior High School and earned her master’s degree in special education from Buffalo State University. On October 24, 2015, in Lockport, she married Jason J. Robichaud. Ashley was first employed by Johnson’s Country Store in Lockport, which she held near to her heart. She then devoted her career to education. She was formerly employed by Hardeeville Elementary School in South Carolina and was currently teaching First Grade Inclusion at Wellsville Elementary School since 2014. Having a heart of gold, Ashley was kind and compassionate and valued the relationships she formed with her students, coworkers, friends, and those throughout the community.
Born December 31, 2019, in Wellsville, Emersyn was the daughter of Jason J. and Ashley R. Craig Robichaud. She was a first-grade student at Wellsville Elementary School. Sweet-natured and gentle, Emersyn enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Ashley and Emersyn shared a close bond and were always together. Their lives centered around family, friends, school, and the community they called home.
Surviving are: Ashley’s husband and Emersyn’s father, Jason J. Robichaud; Ashley’s son and Emersyn’s brother, Parker; Ashley’s parents, Richard and Charlotte Craig of Lockport; Jason’s parents, Phillip and Kelly Robichaud of Sanborn; Ashley’s brothers, Zachary (Jennifer) Craig of Pensacola, FL and Kyle (LaceyJo) Craig of Pendleton; Jason’s brother, Cody (Meghan) Robichaud of Middleport; Ashley’s nieces and nephew, and Emersyn’s cousins, RylynnJo, Kalie, and Colton; and many special friends. Ashley was predeceased by her grandparents.
Friends may call Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Wellsville Secondary School, 126 West State Street, Wellsville. A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2026 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, 2587 Baseline Road, Grand Island, NY 14072.
