Barbara Jean McCARTHY, 70, of Andover, NY, formerly of Wellsville, died Friday, July 29, 2022 in Buffalo General Hospital.
Born April 5, 1952, in Texas, she was the daughter of Ronald and Margaret Thomas Hurlburt. In 1968, in Knoxville, PA, she married Roger E. McCarthy, who survives. She was employed by Wellsville Taxi and Wellsville Manor.
Surviving besides her husband, Roger, are: a daughter, Shannon (Shannon) Dickerson of Wellsville; two sons, Eugene McCarthy of Andover and Duane (Kristina McNealy) McCarthy of Wellsville; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three siblings, Junior, Donny, and Peggy.
Friends may call at OLNEY-FOUST Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. Rev. Jon Schink will officiate. Burial will be in Stannards Cemetery.
