Barbara C. OVERHOLT

Barbara C. OVERHOLT, 87, of Stannards, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Wellsville. 

Born October 15, 1938, in Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of Samuel William Major and Margaret Enslin Cook. On June 28, 1958, in Tonawanda, she married Harry B. “Dale” Overholt, who predeceased her on May 19, 2023. Barb was a 1956 graduate of Tonawanda High School. In 1981, she and Dale moved to Wellsville, where they attended Grace United Church. Barb loved her family deeply and she will be sadly missed by them all. 

Surviving are: a daughter, Brenda (Jack) VanBuskirk of Andover; a grandson, Samuel (Miranda Haramia) Lamphier-VanBuskirk of Chula Vista, CA; two granddaughters, Kailee Alfieri of Florida and Angela (Tim) Corkey of Alfred; a sister, Jean (Jack) Koch of Englewood, FL; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Dell Cook. 

Friends may call at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State Street, Wellsville on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 1:00 PM. Rev. Dennis Munro and Rev. John Francisco will co-officiate. Burial will be in Stannards Cemetery.
