Beverly was an owner of the former Dough Box in Wellsville and was a secretary at Alfred University for Many years. Most recently she worked for the Salvation Army Store, a job which she enjoyed, in Scio. Beverly loved to dance as well as play and sing country music, entertaining residents of nursing homes. She was a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church and will be remembered for sense humor and her trusting nature.
Survivors include: her mother Carrie; a son John (Janie) Saxton of Scio; a daughter Tracey (Richard) Elias of Scio; 8 grandchildren, Mychal W. and Heather, Houston C. and Katie, Skylor M., Cheyenne E., Hallie W., Christopher H., Timothy T. and Samantha J.; 2 great grandchildren, John and Elisa; a brother Joseph (Patricia) Decker of Belmont; several nieces and nephews; a special friend Ray Wetherby.
She was predeceased by her father and a brother, David Decker and a sister Audrey Freeland.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday September 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the J.W.Embser Sons Funeral Home in Belmont. Her funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2 pm in the Funeral Home with Rev. Diane Cox presiding. Burial will take place in Scio and memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
