PORT ALLEGANY- Bonnie L. Childs, 59, of Vine St., passed away Saturday (June 9, 2018) in her home, surrounded by her family.
Born July 20, 1958, in Trenton, NJ, she was a daughter of Albert and Alda Horrocks Bates.  On June 3, 1978, in Jackson NJ, she married Robert H. Childs, Sr.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Alda, and former husband, are a son, Robert H. Childs, Jr. of Browns Mills, NJ; two daughters, Selena A. (Bill) Massimino of Browns Mills, NJ, Melissa A. (David) Stepp of Port Allegany; four grandchildren: Emily Marissa, Allison, and Dalton; three brothers, Rickey Bates of Long Island, NY, Steven Bates of Manchester, NJ, David Bates of Dallas, TX, three sisters, Robin Biagi and Delores Hoffman both of Vineland, NJ, and Lynda Young of Covington, LA; an aunt & uncle, John and Fay Horrocks of Surfside Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert, and a brother, Albert Bates.
A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday (July 21, 2018) 2 - 6 p.m. in the Jackson
Amvets Bldg., Road 571, Jackson, NJ 08527.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, PA.
