Carolyn A. BERFIELD, 63, of Coudersport, PA, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 in her home.
Born June 14, 1953, in Roswell, NM, she was the daughter of Robert F. and Geraldine Thomas Potocek.
On June 19, 1971, in Coudersport, she married Allen D. Berfield, who survives.
She was employed by Dr. Wei, Perry Patterson, Esq., Acker & Acker, and Adelphia Communications. Carolyn and her husband owned and operated Carallen Traditional Stained Glass for 25 years.
She served on the board of directors of the Potter County Visitors Association and as secretary of the Potter County Fine Arts Council.
Surviving besides her husband, Allen, are: her mother, Geraldine "Gerri" Potocek of Coudersport; two children, Alan (Andreea) Berfield of Kirkland, WA and Larkan (Eric) Parker of Swanzey, NH; three siblings, Diane (Jerry) Austin of Shelby, NC, Cindy (Richard) Speroni of Salamanca, NY, and Mark Robert (Shawn) Potocek of Ladson, SC; an aunt, Sandra (William) Krous of Coudersport; her kindred spirit, Elaine Van Wegen Butler of St. Augustine, FL; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father; and a sister, Barbara Lynn Potocek.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Park United Methodist Church, Coudersport. The Rev. Scott Ogden and family friend, Rev. Jonathan Colton Chesney, will co-officiate. A luncheon will follow the service in the church social room. Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.
