Clifford N. “Ink” MATTISON, Jr., 77, of Stannards, NY, formerly of Alma, died Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in his home. 

Born October 7, 1948, in Wellsville, he was the son of Clifford N. and Marian V. Green Mattison. On July 12, 1969 in Wellsville, he married Sharon Ann Morris, who survives. A 1967 graduate of Wellsville High School, he earned a degree in auto mechanics from Alfred Vocational School in 1969. He was employed by Harry Graves & Son in Wellsville for 25 years and Maple City Dodge in Hornell for 20 years. Ink was a member of the Alma Fire Department and served as a past chief. In addition to his fulltime job, he had farming in his blood. 

Surviving besides his wife, Sharon, are: four children, Tina (Chris) Stephens of Fulton, Bradley (Mary) Mattison of Wellsville, Stacy (Douglas) Stuck of Wellsville, and Jody (John) Potter of Wellsville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gary (Nancy) Mattison of Wellsville, Glenn Mattison of Machias, and Guy (Lee) Mattison of Wellsville; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Debra Mattison. 

Friends may call at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State Street, Wellsville, NY, on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 4:00 PM. Rev. Richard “Rick” Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
