Dale R. MYERS, 72, of Troupsburg, NY, went to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 8, 2025 in his home and surrounded by his loving family. He often said, “it’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later.”
Born May 27, 1953, in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Reuben D. and Marian F. Barr Myers. On May 14, 1977, in Washingtonville, PA, he married Patricia L. “Trish” Pulsifer, who survives.
Dale owned and operated a dairy farm in Milton, PA in partnership with his father and brother. He later owned and operated a dairy farm with his wife in Woodhull, NY and was a self-employed logger. He owned and raced Sulky racehorses at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was employed by Turbotville Block Company, Winston Modular Homes in Danville, PA, Agri-King in Potter County, PA, Carl Emery Logging in Mifflinburg, PA, Trathon Logging in York, PA, and Moretrench with Operating Engineers Local #158, retiring in 2019. Dale was a member of JSM Ministries in Louisiana and a former member of West Union Mennonite Church.
Dale had a special love for his hunting dogs and work horses. He spent countless hours hunting for coon, bear, coyote, turkey, and deer with trusted dogs by his side, including his best buddy, Jim Bob. He loved to teach his grandchildren how to hunt. Dale could tell the most enthusiastic stories of a hunt with hand gestures and sound effects.
While Dale loved to hunt, his greatest love was his love for God and his family. He took opportunity with friends and family to spread the word of God’s love and salvation. He valued and loved those around him so much that he wanted to ensure their places in Heaven.
Surviving besides his wife, Trish, are: four children, Prudence (Tariq) Moore of Williamsport, PA, Stephen Myers of Watsontown, PA, Courtney Kitka of Dansville, NY, and Elizabeth (Jeremy) Lewis of Zephyrhills, FL; eight grandchildren, Tariq Moore, Jr., Kyrie Moore, Dylan Myers, Gabrielle (Eric) Oman, Caleb Kitka, Noah Lewis, Cole Lewis, and Coen Lewis; a great-granddaughter, Sloane Oman; a sister, Judy (Kenneth) Leaman of Willow Street, PA; a brother, Jeffrey (Judy) Myers of New Castle, PA; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
