Daniel R. COWBURN

January 18, 1955 — February 8, 2022

Daniel R. COWBURN, 67, of Coudersport, PA, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in UPMC Hamot, Erie.

Born January 18, 1955, in Coudersport, he was the son of Russell H. “Bud” and Bessie Conable Cowburn.  On May 19, 1990, in Allegany Township, Coudersport, he married the former Lillian D. Moya, who survives.  A 1973 graduate of Coudersport High School, he was employed by Capital Area Communications, formerly known as TransCore, for over 30 years.  Dan was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post #192 in Coudersport.  He volunteered at several Trump rallies and was awarded the Presidential Challenge Coin.  Dan spent most of his weekends camping or attending Trump rallies.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding UTV, and spending time with family.

Surviving besides his wife, Lillian, are:  two sons, Marcus (Brooke) Root and Anthony (Morgan) Cowburn, both of Coudersport;  two grandchildren, Wesley Norman and Emilia Rose Root;  his mother-in-law, Gloria McCreavy of Coudersport;  nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Dale A. Cowburn in 2001 and Dean E. Cowburn in 2013.

A gathering to celebrate Dan’s life will be held at the Coudersport American Legion, 2 Buffalo St., Coudersport, PA on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 beginning at 5:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Teacher’s Pet, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915.
