Dominic J. “Nick” Ostrander
ROULETTE- Dominic J. “Nick” Ostrander, 78, of North St., passed away Saturday, (Sept. 9, 2017) in the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Born May 25, 1939, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Clayton and Mary Teresa Gullone Ostrander. On April 7, 1989, in Roulette, he married Jean Bilek, who survives.
Dominic was a veteran of Viet Nam, having served with the US Army.
He was employed with Saint Gobain Co. of Port Allegany, retiring in 1995, after 35 years of service.
Mr. Ostrander attended the Riverside Methodist Church of Roulette, was a member of VFW Post 6391, Port Allegany, and was active in Neighborhood Soup Run.
Surviving in addition to his wife Jean, are a stepson, James F. (Catherine) Genaux of Roulette; a stepdaughter, Judith E. (Richard) Lewis of Crescent, PA; three grandchildren, Jamie L. (Ryan) Davenport, Alan L. Lewis and Crystal L. Genaux; two great-grandchildren, Wesley S. Davenport and Keira L. Lewis.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 30, 2017) in the Riverside Methodist Church, with Rev. Ben Zimmerman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Card Creek Cemetery, Roulette.
Memorials can be made to the Riverside Methodist Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
