Dominick A. PETRELLI, 96, of Wellsville, NY, died Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Wellsville. 

Born September 28, 1929, in Hornell, he was the son of Frank and Felice Orologio Petrelli. On November 18, 1967, in St. Ann’s Church, Hornell, he married Myrna Clark, who predeceased him on April 14, 2018. A 1947 graduate of Hornell High School, he served honorably with the U.S Army from February 1951 – January 1953 during the Korean War. 

He earned an associate’s degree from Alfred State in 1955 and later earned a bachelor's degree in business from Alfred University. He moved to Wellsville in 1969. He was employed as an accountant by General Mills, Foster Wheeler in Dansville, and Bricolare-Levi Accounting in Rochester for four years, and spent over 17 years at Air Preheater Company, retiring in October of 1985 as chief accountant. He returned to the workplace with Adelphia Cable in Coudersport, PA, retiring again in 1995. In addition to his formal employment, he consistently maintained a private tax practice during his lifetime. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus since 1948. 

Surviving are: two sons, Roger (Jill) Petersen and Andrew Petrelli, both of Wellsville; three step-grandsons, Aaron Hess, Dustin (Florina) Hess, and Christian (Leah) Hess; several nieces and nephews across New York and Ohio; and many first cousins, especially from the Orologio side. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Myrna, he was predeceased by five siblings and their spouses, Patricia (Anthony) Sciotti, Gladys Petrelli, Mary Petrelli, his twin Santa (Walt) Cleveland, and Angelo (Sandra) Petrelli; and a stepson, Jeffrey Petersen. 

Friends may call at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State St., Wellsville, NY on Thursday, August 21, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, with the Rosary at 3:30 prior to calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Friday in Immaculate Conception Church, Wellsville, 36 Maple Avenue, Wellsville. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wellsville. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Wellsville American Legion Honor Guard.
