Donald L. HOCKENBERRY

Donald L. HOCKENBERRY, 81, of Scio, NY, died Monday, February 19, 2024 in Jones Memorial Hospital.  

Born July 7, 1942, in Altoona, he was the son of David and Margaret Harris Hockenberry.  On April 2, 1977, in Lewiston, he married the former Eileen J. Young, who predeceased him on February 14, 2021.  He was employed by the Youngstown School District as a janitor.  

Surviving are: a son, Donald Hockenberry, Jr. of Altoona; two grandchildren, Zachary and Ashley; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Joe Hockenberry; eight siblings, Lester, David, John, Calvin, Jane, Francis, Mary Jane, and Roy.  

Cremation was at OLNEY-FOUST Private Crematory.  

Memorials may be made to the SPCA serving Allegany County.
