Donald N. PARSONS, 74, of Gaines, PA, died Saturday, October 29, 2016 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Born July 30, 1942, in Somerville, MA, he was the son of Nicholas Francis and Marguerite Goguen Parsons.
On August 15, 1974, in Center Conway, NH, he married the former Audrey C. Stone, who survives.
A 1962 graduate of the North Bennett Street Industrial School in Boston, MA, he was employed 27 years as a sheet metal worker by J.H. Emerson Corp. in Cambridge, MA. As a hobby, he made copper candle snuffers and Paul Revere lanterns, which were sold at the Old North Church in the 1960's.
Don was a member of Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church in Gaines, PA.
Surviving besides his wife, Audrey, are: a son, Neil F. Parsons of Westfield, PA; four grandchildren, Sarah, Jenna, Daelin, and Grant; five siblings, Ann (Gary) Miller of Ludington, MI, Jan (Bob) Oyer of Lehigh Acres, FL, Linda O'Hara of Mesa, AZ, Patti Pisapia of Everett, MA, and Barry Parsons of Everett, MA; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, John K. O'Hara.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 13, 2016 in the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church, Gaines, PA. The Rev. Rob Anderson will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
