Douglas R. HOUSLER, of Emporium, PA, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the age of 64.
Born December 2, 1957, he was the son of Robert M. and Shirley Jean Housler. He was a graduate of Cameron County High School and earned an associate's degree in electrical construction from Williamsport Area Community College. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and had an adventurous heart. His strength, wisdom, and humor will be missed by his family.
Surviving besides his wife, Deb, are: his mother, Shirley Housler of Emporium; two sons, Richard Housler of Emporium and Michael Housler of Pocatello, ID; a granddaughter, Eve Housler of Meadville, who stole his heart; a brother, Daniel R. (Celeste) Housler of Emporium; two sisters, Sue (James) Buerk of Smethport and Pam (Robert) Castillo of Emporium; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father.
At his request, there will be no services. A gathering for family will be announced on a later date. Memorials may be made to Hahne Cancer Center or Penn Highlands Hospice.
