Duane L. ANDREWS, 74, of Ulysses, PA, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, FL. Born May 25, 1938, in Harrison Valley, PA, he was the son of Lyle G. and Pearl Tanner Andrews. On September 27, 1961, in Elkton, MD, he married the former Patricia L. Marsh, who survives. A US Army Veteran, he served honorably from 1961 -- 1963. He was employed as a lineman by Penelec. Duane was a member of the NYS Horse Pullers Association and the Southern Draft Horse Association. Surviving besides his wife, Patricia, are: two sons, Thomas B. (Loraine) Andrews of Knoxville, PA and Timothy D. (Shannon) Andrews of Erie, PA; a daughter, Terri (Terrance) Bender of Germany; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon G. Andrews of St. Marys, PA; a sister, Betty Crans of Bath, NY; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Tomb; and a brother, Gene L. Andrews. Friends may call Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Daryl Butler will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made sent to Jim Cady, 150 Hurler Road, Westfield, PA 16950 for a horse pulling fund to be established for the Potter County Fair or a charity of the donor's choice.
