Earl L. HARTLAUB, 69, of Ulysses, PA, formerly of York, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 in his home. Born April 25, 1943, in York, he was the son of Thomas and Portia Barnhart Hartlaub. He was married to the former Barbara J. Sugden, who survives. He was employed by Baker's Stone Quarry in York for 22 years. Retiring to Potter County in 1999, he was employed by Hoopes Turf Farm in Ulysses. Earl was a member of NDHP Motorcycle Club, White Rose Motorcycle Club, and camped at the Twin Rivers Campground in Addison, NY. Surviving besides his wife, Barbara, are: two sons, Tony Hartlaub and Chris Hartlaub, both of York; a daughter, Carla Bury of York; a step-son, Richard (Amanda) Pratt, III of Wellsville, NY; three step-daughters, Tracey (Matthew) Waters and Nykol (Jayme) McMichael, both of Whitesville, NY, and Michelle (Armondo) Rosario of Jamestown, NY; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Dixie) Hartlaub of Red Lion, PA; five sisters, Nadine (Charlie) Owlier of York, Fran (George) Gladfelter of Dover, PA, Gloria (Carl) Miller of Thomasville, PA, Dee (Wayne) Morris of York, and Sue (Paula O'Brien) Anderson of Matthews, NC; nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the God's Food Pantry, 7 Alliance Ave., Coudersport, PA 16915 or to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
