Elaine B. “Candy” BRUNDAGE, 90, of Wellsville, NY, died Saturday, February 28, 2026, in UR Jones Memorial Hospital. 

Born December 26, 1935, in Austin, PA, she was the daughter of Gyle and Eva Bliss and was raised by Lester and Leona Bundy. On June 13, 1982, in Olean, she married John R. Brundage, who survives. She was employed by Cattaraugus County taking care of the elderly and then she and John served in foster care helping raise 44 children. 

Surviving besides her husband, John, are: seven children, Paul Brundage of Niagara Falls, John Brundage Jr. of Belmont, Kimberly (Edward Jr.) Farr of Allegany, Orton Maynard of Limestone, James Maynard of Olean, David Maynard of FL, and Roxanne Wagoner of Wellsville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three children, Bernie Clark, William Maynard Jr., and Clyde Maynard; and several brothers and sisters. 

A graveside service will be held in Andrews Settlement Cemetery, Andrews Settlement, PA, in the Spring.
