Evonne M. VANGORDER, 58, of Galeton, PA, died Saturday, August 29, 2026 in UPMC Wellsboro. 

Born January 28, 1967, in Port Allegany, she was the daughter of Bruce L. and Donna Marie Kio Freeman. On October 21, 1989, in Galeton, she married Keith J. VanGorder, who survives. A 1985 graduate of Cowanesque High School, she was employed by Kane Magnetics and as a cook by the Ox Yoke and Drake’s Personal Care Home. Evonne was co-owner/operator of Small Wonder Daycare in Galeton. 

Surviving besides her husband, Keith, are: a son, Cole VanGorder of Galeton; three grandchildren, Ely, Aleah, and Ian; two aunts, Wanda Safford and Linda Messer, both of Port Allegany; an uncle, Dallas Kio of Port Allegany; and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents. 

The family will hold a private graveside service in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton. Memorials may be made to Goodyear Hose Company or Gale Hose Ambulance.
