Frederick R. EMMEL, Jr.

Frederick R. EMMEL, Jr., 78, of Ulysses, PA, died Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport following a lengthy illness. 

Born April 27, 1947, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of Frederick Ralph and Dorothy Ann Nickles Emmel. Fred served honorably with the U.S. Navy, retiring as Master Chief Petty Officer. He was a skilled carpenter and worked as a general contractor after his retirement from the Navy. Fred was an outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting. 

Surviving are: his wife, Kim; four children, Ashlee Thomas Dreas of Ulysses, Justin (Kierra) Morse of Campbell, NY, Danielle Flint (Nick) Harmon of Palmyra, Alexis “Lexi” Morse of Coudersport; eight grandchildren; four step-children; a sister, Carol (Doug) Pindell; a brother, Terry Emmel; and two nephews, David Pindell and Chris Schifflett. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn “Kelley” Scheerer; and a niece, Cindy Schifflett. 

Friends may call at The First Baptist Church of Ulysses, 603 S. Main St., Ulysses, PA 16948 on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 4:00 PM. Rev. Kevin Cornish will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard.
