George E. "Pee Wee" BARLOW, Jr.

George E. “Pee Wee” BARLOW, Jr., 91, of Scio, NY, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 in his home.

Born January 30, 1929, in Wellsville, he was the son of George E. and Effie M. Young Barlow.

On July 25, 1948, in Wellsville, he married the former Reta Krusen, who survives.

A U.S. Navy Veteran, he served honorably from 1948 – 1950.

George was employed as an inspector by Worthington in Wellsville for 40 years. He was a member of the Wellsville Moose Lodge, Scio Volunteer Fire Co., and volunteered many years with the Lions Club.

Surviving besides his wife, Reta, are: two children, Greg (Linda Stuck) Barlow of Scio and Gail (Rodney) Nobles of Zephyrhills, FL; three grandchildren, Keith, Kristy, and Karen; eight great-grandchildren, Camilla, Megan, Courtney, Hunter, James, Conner, Gregory, and Josh; two great-great-grandchildren, Cora and Myla; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Bradley; brothers, Richard E. Barlow, Norman R. Barlow, and Louis D. Barlow; sisters, Florence Weber, Sarah Phillips, Lois Benjamin, June Layman, Beverly Rogers, Ethyl Stover, Doris Meise, Georgeanna Weber, and Ruth Barlow.

Cremation was at Olney-Foust Crematory. Services will be private.
