Harley E. LINZA, 85, of Westfield, PA, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in his home.
Born October 23, 1935, in Willing, NY, he was the son of Max and Faith Withey Linza. On July 9, 1955, in Cowanesque, he married the former Phyllis L. Schmidt, who survives. A graduate of Wellsville High School, he was employed by Culligan Water Co. in Wellsville. He was then employed by Kodak in Rochester for 25 years, retiring in 1991 as a group leader in the film emulsion division. Harley was a member of the Cowanesque United Methodist Church. He was a devoted New York Yankees fan.
Surviving besides his wife, Phyllis, are: three daughters, Paula Linza of Livonia, NY, Brenda (Gene) Brunette of Brockport, NY, and Pamela (Tim) Conley of Rush, NY; a daughter-in-law, Mary Linza of Caneadea, NY; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Raymond Linza of Jamestown, NY and Gary (Connie) Linza of Stannards, NY; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey L. Linza, on January 3, 2017; six brothers, Donald R. Linza, Roger E. Linza, Max Linza, Merle Linza, Ernest Linza, and Dale Linza; and a sister, Marjorie Layton.
Friends may call Friday, June 25, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Crematory, Ulysses. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday in the Cowanesque United Methodist Church. Rev. Ed Rodarmel will officiate. The funeral will be livestreamed on the funeral home website, www.olneyfoust.com, at the bottom of Harley’s obituary page. Burial will be in Yorks Corners Cemetery, Yorks Corners, NY.
