Hyla M. SIZER

Hyla Mae SIZER, 83, formerly of Wellsville, NY, died Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Rae-Ann Westlake Nursing and Rehabilitation, Westlake, OH.  

Born August 31, 1940, in Coudersport, PA, she was the daughter of Carlous J. “Pete” and Clara E. Miles Currier.  On June 30, 1960, in Wellsville, she married Robert H. Sizer, who predeceased her on March 15, 2018.  A 1958 graduate of Northern Potter High School, she was employed by Air Preheater in Wellsville as the switchboard operator for many years.  

Surviving are: two children, Michael (Deborah) Sizer of Ithaca, NY and Lori Ann (Thomas) Withers of Westlake, OH; four grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Cherry of Ocala FL, T.J. Withers of Westlake, OH, Raelyn (Jacob) Falci of Scottsville NY, and Terry (Jessica) Ilges Jr of Rochester, NY; six great-grandchildren; three siblings, Nina Buchanan of Wellsville, Lois (John) Hussong of Rexville, and Jerry (Lou Ann) Currier of Culpepper, VA; nieces and nephews.  

Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services following at 11:00 AM.  Rev. Carl Kemp will officiate.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse, PA.
