J. Jolene PITTS

J. Jolene PITTS, 84, of Punxsutawney, PA, formerly of Harrison Valley, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in Mulberry Square, Punxsutawney. 

Born March 5, 1941, in Potter Brook, she was the daughter of Walter “Pete” and Evelyn Kilbourne Smith. She was employed by Galeton Production and TRW in Arizona, where she resided for 20 years. On December 24, 1971, in Osceola, PA, she married Earl W. Pitts, who predeceased her on January 16, 1985. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Gary J. Smith and Gregg Smith; and a grandson, Justin Earl Pitts. 

Surviving are: a sister, Paula Carson of Glendale, AZ; a son, Russell English of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Ashley English and Emma English; two step-daughters, Rhonda Neely of Punxsutawney and Karen (Duane) Everson of Naselle, WA; and a sister-in-law, Norma Ellinger of Emporium. 

Burial will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield, PA. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
