Janice L. RUPPERT

Janice L. RUPPERT, 63, of Friendship, NY, died Monday, August 12, 2024 in her home. 

Born August 2, 1961, in Rochester, she was the daughter of Richard and Eleanor M. Cady Heckman. A 1980 graduate of Jefferson High School in Rochester, she was employed by Delphi on the assembly line. Jan was a strong, caring, and warm-hearted person. She was a very supportive mother to her children. 

Surviving are: three sons, Josh (Ashley) Sassone of Friendship, Erich Ruppert, Jr. of Greece, and John LaFleche of Rochester; a grandson, Josh “JJ” Sassone, Jr.; a granddaughter on the way; two brothers, Richard "Butch" (Lisa) Heckman and Thomas (Michelle) Heckman; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Victoria L. VanGrol. 

Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the SPCA serving Allegany County.
