ROULETTE-Jeannette Faye Kio, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday (Oct. 26, 2024) in UPMC Hamot, Erie.

Born May 8, 1948 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Earl and Mary Commino Peeler. On Sept. 8, 1967, she married Richard L. Kio, who survives. Together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter and cherished memories.

Jeannette was employed with Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, for over three decades, in housekeeping where she served as the supervisor.

Known for her vibrant spirit, Jeannette found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for camping, boating, and fishing, often organizing family outings that created unforgettable adventures and lasting lifetime memories. She enjoyed creating crocheted blankets, quilts, and ceramics to gift to her loved ones. One of her favorite places was at the beach with her family collecting seashells and sitting along the shore enjoying the surf. Her talent for baking was a testament to her nurturing heart, bringing warmth to family gatherings and celebrations. Everyone felt her loving presence. Jeannette’s connection to her loved ones was profound, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Surviving in addition to her beloved and devoted husband, Richard, are her two children, Tracy (Vicky) Kio of Port Allegany, and Theresa (William) Daniels of Roulette; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn (Johnny) Jones, Kaylee (Andrew) Johnson, McKaila (Drake) Lenker, and Maleah Daniels; five great-grandchildren: Addilyn, Peyton, and Lilly Miller, Ryker Johnson and Rhett Jones; a sister, Paula (Calvin) Abrams of Bradford; sisters-in-law, Lois Commino and Mary Kio both of Roulette; several aunts, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Commino.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 30, 2024) with Rev. J.T. Madison, pastor of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Roulette.
