Andover, NY

John F. “Jack” ANDRUSCHAT, 80, of Andover, NY, died Thursday, October 2, 2025 in Cuba Memorial Hospital, Cuba.

Born September 16, 1945, in Buffalo, he was the son of Nelson and Ruth Weber Andruschat. On October 11, 1980, in North Tonawanda, he married Marion “Midge” Wright Dailey, who survives. Raised in Buffalo, he was a 1963 graduate of Bishop Fallon High School. He continued his education at General Motors Institute, earning the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree. Jack was employed by General Motors at the Chevrolet plant on Delevan Ave. until his retirement. An outdoorsman, Jack enjoyed golfing, cutting the grass, hunting, and flying his four-seat Cessna. He founded an annual early summer golf trip to Ohio, starting with his colleagues from Chevy Delevan and eventually developed into a family trip. After retirement, Jack and Midge searched for the perfect hunting property. They found a storm damaged summer cabin in Andover which they repaired and improved into their full-time residence.

Surviving besides his wife, Midge, are: two sons, Jeffrey Andruschat and Timothy Andruschat, both of Buffalo; a step-son, James (Brenda) Dailey of Bethlehem, PA; a step-daughter-in-law, Gina Dailey of Buffalo; eight grandchildren, Jack Andruschat, Amelia Andruschat, Timothy Andruschat, Betsy Andruschat, James Dailey, Alex Dailey, Amanda Dailey, and Abigail Dailey; two siblings, James (Kathy) Andruschat of Buffalo and Jan Phillips of NC; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a step-son, Douglas Dailey; a brother, Thomas Andruschat; and a very special friend, John Lounsbury.

Friends may call at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State Street, Wellsville, NY on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 3:00 PM– 5:00 PM.
