Katherine H. BROWN, 80, formerly of Belmont, NY, died Friday, April 13, 2018 in Hart Comfort House, Wellsville, NY.
Born January 16, 1938, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Clarke D. and Minnie Jones Wilkins.
On June 30, 1956, in Wellsville, she married George W. Brown, who predeceased her on August 4, 2007.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong area resident and spent many years as a mental health advocate for those in need, leaving a legacy of unconditional love.
Surviving are: a son, Clark E. (Lori) Brown of Belmont; four grandchildren, Sharon (Ben) Strait of Benton, KY, Rebecca (Josh) Jamison of Belmont, Brandon (Ashley) Brown of Fremont, NY, and Matthew (Tara) Brown of Lone Oak, KY; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wilma (Alan) Myers of Friendship NY, Crystal Higby of Kannapolis NC, and Carol (Ron) Allen of Wellsville; a brother, Carl Wilkins of Wellsville; and several nieces and nephews. Katherine was predeceased by her loving husband, George; her parents, Clarke and Minnie Wilkins; and a son, Michael Eugene Brown (June 1960- August 1960).
Friends may call at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM. The Rev. Nelson D. McCall will officiate. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery, Wellsville.
