Kenneth R. HUSS, 69, of Port Allegany, PA, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, hard work, and love. Ken was a 1975 graduate of Port Allegany High School. On June 16, 1986, in Eldred, he married Etta M. Watkins, who survives.
Ken grew up in Turtlepoint, where he built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a willingness to lend a helping hand. Throughout his years, he wore many hats and took pride in every role he held. He was a hardworking farmer for many years, a volunteer firefighter, a school janitor, a mechanic, and a race car driver. No matter what the job was, Ken was someone who knew how to work hard and get things done. But beyond his many occupations and accomplishments, Kenneth will be remembered most for the person he was. He loved spending time with his family and had a special way of making people smile. Always ready with a joke or a quick-witted comment, he brought laughter into the lives of those around him. His humor, personality, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. One of Ken’s final acts of kindness was perhaps one of his greatest gifts. Through organ donation, he was able to donate three vital organs, giving others the opportunity for a second chance at life. Even in his passing, Ken continued to help others, leaving behind a legacy of generosity that will live on beyond his years. Ken’s life was measured not only by the years he lived or the work he did, but by the people he touched, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave. He leaves behind a family who will cherish his memories, stories that will continue to be told, and a lifetime of moments that will never be forgotten. He spent his life working hard, helping others, and making people smile. His hands may be still, but his legacy lives on.
Surviving besides his loving wife, Etta, are: three children, Jamie (Robert) Mosher of Smethport, Jeffrey (Leanne Freer) Huss of Cyclone, and Jason Huss of Eldred; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Sharon A. Huss of Deltona, FL, Rebecca S. “Becky” Neaus of Harrisburg, and Rhonda M. Butler of Roulette; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert D. and Audrey M. Gross Huss; and a brother, Kevin A. Huss.
