Larry E. BARBER, 57, of Ulysses, PA, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Born September 22, 1958, in Montour Falls, NY, he was the son of Ernest E. and Doris Buckley Barber.
On January 3, 1981, in Harrison Valley, PA, he married the former Alice M. Shutt, who survives.
He was employed by Sherwood Enterprises and PennDOT.
Surviving besides his wife, Alice, are: a son, Dustin Barber of Ulysses; two brothers, Lonnie Barber of Bennettsburg, NY and Rodney (Denise) Barber of Interlaken, NY; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Eva Shutt of West Bingham, PA; two aunts, Nina Barber of Montour Falls and Betty Buckley of Tyrone, NY; nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Russell E. Barber, on December 24, 1988.
A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Tri-Town Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Hall in Ulysses.
A private burial service will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tri-Town Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 277, Ulysses, PA 16948 or a charity of the donor's choice.
