Laurie Senn SAGERMAN

Laurie Senn Sagerman, 70, of Wellsville, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness. Born March 6, 1955, in Buffalo, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harold and Marcia (Shearer) Senn. On December 28, 1990, in Williamsville, she married the love of her life, Gary R. Sagerman, who survives.

Laurie was a graduate of Williamsville High School and dedicated her life to caring for others. With her natural warmth, she worked as a caregiver for many years, focusing on hospice, where her grace and empathy touched countless lives.

After retiring in 2002, Laurie and Gary moved to Wellsville, where she began a quieter life filled with the things she loved. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and canning. A regular at the YMCA, she brought joy and energy wherever she went. Laurie had a special eye for beauty and history—she adored antiquing and could never resist a good yard sale. Her home was always filled with charm, stories, and the comforting presence of the many animals she loved and cared for over the years. To know Laurie was to feel her spark. She had an infectious personality that lit up every room, and a heart that made people feel instantly at home.

She is survived by her devoted husband Gary; two loving children, Jessica (Jimmy) Toelstedt of Long Island and Joseph Leonard of Brooklyn; two grandchildren, Grady and Madison Toelstedt; her sister, Debra (Keith) Armstrong of Virginia Beach, VA; and several dear nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery will be held at a later date.
