PORT ALLEGANY- Linda A. Thielges, 65, of S. Pine St., passed away Wednesday (Oct. 1, 2014) in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
Born April 23, 1949, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of William J. and Norine R. Holcomb Chelgreen.
Linda was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of the Port Allegany High School, Class of 1967.
She was employed by Saint-Gobain Container, Port Allegany, for over 20 years, before her retirement.
Surviving is a nephew, Shaun C. (Amy) Chelgreen of Fairfax, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William, and a nephew, Mark Chelgreen.
Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 5, 2014) in the Inn on Maple Street, Port Allegany, where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. with Rev. Michael Demko, pastor of Holy Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Berwick, PA, officiating.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
