Loveda M. POTTER

Loveda M. “Dee Dee” POTTER, 88, of Harrison Valley, PA, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport. 

Born October 25, 1935, in Harrison Township, she was the daughter of Ivan L. and Myra I. Outman Kibbe. On July 2, 1955, in Harrison Valley, she married Dale H. Potter, who predeceased her on January 16, 2019. She was employed by Galeton Production and the U.S. Postal Service in Mills and Cowanesque. Loveda was a member of the Harrison Township Ladies Auxiliary. 

Surviving are: four sons, Richard (Claudette) Potter of Harrison Valley, Paul Potter of Harrison Valley, Duane (Renee) Potter of Covington, and Neal (Cheri) Potter of Harrison Valley; ten grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Theodore Kibbe of Galeton; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Skyler; six sisters, Arloene Jones, Mary Lou Kibbe, Virginia Lampman, Beverly Tormey, Betty Metcalf, and Violet; and five brothers, Byron “Jum” Kibbe, Jacob H. Kibbe, Cleon Kibbe, Russell L. Kibbe, and Ivan L. “Ike” Kibbe, Jr. 

A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2024 in Whites Corners Cemetery. Rev. Timothy H. Miller will officiate. A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Harrison Township Community Building.
