Marcia F. MERRITT

Marcia F. MERRITT, 93, of Ulysses, PA, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in her home. Born December 22, 1918, in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of Miner and Helen Rappleya Swetland. On October 4, 1948, in Richmond, VA, she married Stanley T. Merritt, who predeceased her in 1993. She was a nurse at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY for several years. Surviving are: seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Audrey Butler of Wellsville, NY; and four nieces and a nephew. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Etta J. Beckhorn, in 1996; a son, E. Burley Pease in 2009; and two brothers, Morgan Swetland and Carlton Swetland. Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA, on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 3:00 PM.
