Margaret S. Crosby
PORT ALLEGANY- Margaret S. Crosby, 95, of Dennis Ave. passed away Wednesday (Sept. 13, 2017) in her home.
Born December 27, 1921, in Davis, WV, she was a daughter of Frank and Josephine Ujcic Segulin. On Feb. 10, 1945, in Daytona Beach, FL, she married H. Lynn Crosby, who died April 11, 2015. They were married 70 years.
She was employed with the Ethan Allen Co. of Eldred, PA, before her reitirement.
Margaret was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany. She enjoyed traveling with her husband after her retirement.
Surviving are a son, William R. (Sharon) Crosby of Laguna Niguel, CA; a grandson, Christopher Crosby of Boston, MA; a brother, Joseph (Margaret) Segulin of Mt. Jewett, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, H. Lynn, three brothers, Frank, Edward, and Anthony Segulin; and a sister, Frances Blehar.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 21, 2017) in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. James Campbell, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Smethport.
Memorials can be made to St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church or Port Area Ambulance Association.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeal Home, Port Allegany.
