Margaret K. HIRT, 50, of Scio, NY, died Saturday, April 11, 2026. Born February 3, 1976, in South Korea, she was the daughter of James Patrick O’Neal and Ki Hwang. On May 11, 2013, in Wellsville, she was married Daniel J. Hirt, who survives. 

A 1994 graduate of Lawton High School in Lawton, OK, she studied at Cameron University from 1994 – 1997. Margaret was employed as a CNA by Highland Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wellsville and worked as a private duty caregiver. She was a member of the Salvation Army. 

Surviving besides her husband, Dan, are: her mother, Ki (Charles E.) Quimby of Ballwin, MO; two daughters, Kiana L. Kalkbrenner of Scio and Mitzi S. Kalkbrenner of Lakewood, CO; and a brother, Edward Michael O’Neal. She was predeceased by her father; and a brother, James Joseph O’Neal. 

Friends may call at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State St., Wellsville on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 PM.
