Marguerite J. HALLADAY

Marguerite J. “Susie” HALLADAY, 80, of Wellsville, NY, died Thursday, February 1, 2024 in Jones Memorial Hospital.  

Born February 25, 1943, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Paul M. and Louise A. Tait Cole.  On February 1, 1959, in Oswayo, PA, she married Maxwell E. “Max” Halladay, who predeceased her on January 11, 2018.  

Surviving are: two children, Maxwell (Daphne) Halladay, Jr. of Wellsville and Sara (Ronald) Phippen of Leola, PA; a son-in-law, Wayne P. Reed of Friendship; seven grandchildren, Joni, Jim, Shawn, Bill, Steve, Emily, and Danielle; nine great-grandchildren, TJ, Maggie, Madelyn, Andrew, Abby, Brayden, Xavier, Gunner, and Charlee; a sister, Linda M. Button of Richburg; nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Susan L. Reed; two grandchildren, Virginia Halladay and David J. Stoneham, Jr.; and five siblings, William F. Cole, Ronald E. Cole, Beverly J. Denning, Jenny L. Burdick, and Paul J. Cole, Jr.  

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Yorks Corners Cemetery.  

Cremation was at OLNEY-FOUST Private Crematory.  

Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
