PORT ALLEGANY - Mark A. Chelgreen, 24, formerly of Port Allegany, passed away Wednesday (May 7, 2014) in his residence, in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Born Aug. 19, 1989, in New Castle, PA, he was a son of William J. and Gloria J. Chelgreen, Jr.
He was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, Class of 2007.
Mark had attended the Port Allegany Alliance Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Gloria, is a brother, Shaun C. (Amy) Chelgreen of Fairfax, VA; an aunt Linda Thielges and an uncle, Larry Shelley both of Port Allegany; and a niece, Kaia Chelgreen of Fairfax, VA.
He was preceded in death by his father William J. Chelgreen, Jr.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Saturday (May 10, 2014) at 12 p.m., in the Port Allegany Alliance Church, with Rev. Joseph Beckley, pastor, officiating.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
