Mary Denise IANTORNO, 50, of Wellsville, NY, died Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in her home.
Born March 2, 1976, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Gerald Dennis O’Connor and Bernie Barnes. On October 14, 2000, in Wellsville, she married Richard F. Iantorno, who survives. A 1994 graduate of Wellsville High School, Mary went on to Alfred State College and then graduated from SUNY Fredonia. She was employed by St. James in Hornell for 18 years as a medical technologist, then Olean Medical Group for five years before recently coming to Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Church Finance Committee, numerous mother support groups, and the Wellsville Cycling Club. She loved to ride her bike, being especially proud of biking 104 miles for Ride for Roswell.
Surviving besides her husband, Richard, are: her mother, Bernie (Robert) Hyde of Leesburg, FL; three sons, Samuele Rende Iantorno, Ian Willett Iantorno, and Adam Rubens Iantorno; and a brother, Erin (Cassandra) O’Connor of Fort Collins, CO. She was predeceased by her father.
Friends may call Friday, July 10, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Olney-Foust & Embser Funeral Homes & Cremation, 34 West State Street, Wellsville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2026 in Immaculate Conception Church, Wellsville, NY. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wellsville.
Memorials may be made to SPCA serving Allegany County or Hart Comfort House of Allegany County.
