Mary L. PROUTY

Mary L. PROUTY, 80, of Ulysses, PA, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.  

Born September 25, 1943, in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Winford B. and Golda V. Hillyard Tubbs.  On February 1, 1963, in Wellsville, NY, she married Lloyd C. Prouty, who survives.  She was a graduate of Fort Knox High School in Fort Knox, KY and business school in Louisville, KY.  Mary was employed by Galeton Production and Stackpole.  She was a member of West Pike Baptist Church.  

Surviving besides her husband, Lloyd, are:  four siblings, Charlene Earle of Brookings, SD, Carolyn Prouty of Ulysses, Rose (Timothy) Foust of Coudersport, and Dale R. Tubbs of Coudersport; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two siblings, Stanley J. Tubbs and Eloise Hughes.  

Friends may call at West Pike Baptist Church on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 PM.  Rev. Justin Prouty will officiate.  Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
