Maynard S. Barber

ROULETTE- Maynard S. Barber, 82, of Third St., passed away Friday (May 17, 2024) in his home, surrounded by family.

Born November 9, 1941, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Alvin S. and Florence Jackson Barber.

Maynard was a lifetime resident of the area attended Port Allegany High School.

He had been employed with Pierce Glass (Saint-Gobain Container) retiring in 2002, after 40 years of service.

Maynard enjoyed going to car shows and camping.

Surviving are three sons, Richard D. (Tina) Barber of Roulette, Steven W. (Carrie) Barber of Port Allegany; Eric (Jayna) Barber of New Philadelphia, OH; a daughter, Angela (Patrick) Lucas of Titusville, PA; 6 grandchildren; a brother, Clark F. (Loretta) Barber of Roulette; two sisters, Jane Ford of Roulette, Laura Roundville, Gladstone, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two stepdaughters, Dorothy Fortner and Debra Johnson; two brothers, Frederick Barber, Anthony “Sonny” Barber; and a sister, Deanna Miller.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday (June 1, 2024) in the Riverside Methodist Church, Roulette, with Rev. Charles Cannistraci, pastor officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
