Michelle L. COPENHAVER

Michelle L. COPENHAVER, 53, of Olean, NY, died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in Olean General Hospital after developing complications from COVID.

Born October 22, 1968, in Pottstown, she was the daughter of Roland M. and Dorothy M. Reifsnyder Griesemer.  A graduate of Northern Potter High School, she was employed by Perkins and Ponderosa as a server.  Five years ago, she became a licensed pharmacy technician with Walmart in Olean. She was always dancing and singing along with 80’s rock music whenever it came on the radio and all of her customers enjoyed seeing her smiling face.  Michelle enjoyed riding her Harley, crafting, landscaping, and spending time with family and friends. She developed a love for traveling and was eager to take road trips to see new places, especially if there was a thrift store or covered bridge in the area.

Surviving are:  longtime companion, Tracy Pilon of Olean;  five children, Tracy Pilon Jr. of Olean, Bonnie (Jeff) Ganoung of Allegany, Bradley (Amanda) Copenhaver of Little Genesee, Nashara Copenhaver of Belmont, and Kurt Pilon of Moncks Corner, SC;  nine grandchildren;  a sister, Kim Foster of Olean;  a niece and a nephew.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Joy Strunk.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at the Allegany Fire Department Community Center, 186 W. Main St., Allegany, NY 14706.
