Milton I. BEACKER, 95, of Gaines, PA, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. 

Born December 4, 1930, in Carter Camp, he was the son of Carl and M. Margaret Gerner Beacker. A 1950 graduate of Galeton High School, he served honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 – 1954. On March 23, 1962, in Germania, he married Ethel C. Davis, who predeceased him on December 5, 2019. Milton and his wife owned and operated the family farm in Germania and the Waldheim in Germania for many years. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator by PennDOT for 38 years. Milton was a member of Raymond Richar VFW Post #6611 in Galeton, Carl E. Hyde American Legion Post #963 in Ulysses, and Loyal Order of Moose #826 in Galeton. 

Surviving are: eight children, Carl "Scott" (Nikki) Beacker of Germania, Robin Beacker of Germania, Barry (Linda) Beacker of Gaines, Brent (Teri) Beacker of Coudersport, Mark (Cindy) Beacker of Fort Myers, FL, Terri (John) Handwerk of Largo, FL, Thomas (Kandy) Baker of Clyde, and Jon (Dawn) Hurd of Hudson, FL; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by four siblings, Charles F. Beacker, Harold Norman Beacker, Mary Gross, and Vernon F. Beacker. 

A private graveside service will be held in Yochum Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. A public gathering to celebrate Milton’s life will be held on a later date.
