Obituary

Onalee Mae HACKETT, 90, of Wellsville, NY, died on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in her home. 

Born May 13, 1936, in Andover, she was the daughter of Theodore and Elizabeth Ellsworth Cook. She was married to Grant E. Kemp, who predeceased her on July 20, 1968. On Maech 27, 1970, in Wellsville, she married Thomas N. Hackett, who predeceased her on July 31, 2018. She was a graduate of Wellsville High School. Onalee devoted her life to raising her children. She loved spending time with her family and playing games. Onalee enjoyed fishing, camping, mowing lawn, and traveling the countryside. 

Surviving are: seven children, Jacalyn Kemp of Wellsville, Grant (Linda) Kemp of Wellsville, Bonnie Kemp of Wellsville, Timothy (Brenda) Hackett of Indian Mound, TN, Roy Hackett of Wellsville, Randy Hackett of Andover, and Rick Hackett of Dansville; 16 grandchildren, Little Grant, Jessica, Josie, Samanth, Tracey, Shad, Dusty, Ashlie, Beth, Jennifer, Heather, Cody, Selena, Jacob, Kirsten, and Aimee; 28 great-grandchildren, Bradley, Bryce, Haydyn, Erik, Kendall, Kyle, Dominic, Terry, Wyatt, Lilly, Elaina, Willow, Violet, Axle, Deven, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Ryan, MaKenna, Cadence, Caleb, Brooke, Mandy, Karrie, Justin, Tyler, Kaylee, and Jordan; eight great-great-grandchildren, Bellamy, Chance, Jaxon, Ezra, Waylon, Keegan, Ethan, and Theo; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Taylor; four siblings, Paul Cook, Verl Cook, Louis Cook, and Thelma Boulds. 

Burial will be in Stannards Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society
