Patricia Louise BROWN

Patricia Louise BROWN, 85, of Stoneville, NC, formerly of Wellsville, NY, died Friday, July 16, 2021 in UNC Chapel Hill Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.

Born June 16, 1936, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of Paul Wheeler and Margaret Hull Stevens.  A graduate of Wellsville High School and Fredonia State Teachers College, she was a teacher in Starpoint Central School District, Lockport, NY.  A devout Christian, she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wellsville.  Pat was a talented cellist and artist.  She was a very loving and generous person.

Surviving are:  a son, Kal Jeffery Brown of New York City;  a sister, Carol A. Erwin of Wellsville;  sister-in-law, Alice Stevens of Wellsville;  nieces, Stephanie A. Stein and Roxanne P. Williams, both of Wellsville;  nephews, James P. (Tonia) Erwin of Cuba, NY and Paul W. (Karen) Stevens of Arkport, NY;  grandnieces and grandnephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Matt Brown and Steve Brown;  and a brother, Paul W. Stevens, Jr.

A private graveside service will be held in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.  Memorials may be made to the David A. Howe Public Library, 155 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY 14895.
