Patricia A. Lathrop
SMETHPORT- Patricia A. Lathrop, 83, of Sena Kean Manor, passed away Friday (June 22, 2018) in the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born July 10, 1934, in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Earl and Pauline Lindsey Hults. On April 17, 1955, in Port Allegany, she married James E. Lathrop.
Patricia was a lifetime resident of the area and had worked for Sylvania Co. (now GTE) formerly of Emporium, the former Cameo Doll Factory, Port Allegany, and most recently in housekeeping, with the former Port Allegany Community Hospital, for several years, before her retirement.
Patricia had attended the former United Brethren Church of Port Allegany, was a member of the Women of the Moose, Lodge 2188, Port Allegany, and former member of the Star Hose Auxiliary.
Patricia enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo, and listening to music.
Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Lathrop of Port Allegany, Mark E. (Sonya) Lathrop of Cumberland, MD; two daughters, Deborah J. (Gordon) Dudley of Brookville, IN, Diane (Robert) Shelley of Port Allegany; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grand-children; a brother, George E. (Unice) Hults of Coudersport; a sister, Lucille M. (Charles) Larson of Conneaut, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (June 26, 2018) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., with Rev. Steve Heath, pastor of the Smethport Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
