Paul J. Lilly
PORT ALLEGANY- Paul J. Lilly, 82, of Route 155, passed away Monday (May 9, 2022) in the Bradford Manor, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family.
Born September 15, 1939, in Port Allegany, he was a son of Roy K. and Katherine Borowski Lilly.
Paul was employed with Saint-Gobain Container Corp., as tank manager, front end, retiring Sept. 1, 1998, after 42 years of service.
He was a veteran having served with the US Army from Jan. 1962 to Dec. 1963.
Paul was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of the Port Allegany High School, class of 1957.
He was a member of the St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany, and a former member of Moose Lodge 460, Port Allegany. He was also a member of the National Rifle Assoc.
Surviving are three sons, Chris M. Lilly of Harbor Creek, PA, Scott A. (Penny) Lilly, and Rob B. Lilly both of Port Allegany; a stepdaughter, Ronda J. (Brian) Padlo of Olean, NY; two grandchildren, Jocelyn N. Lilly, and Olivia G. Lilly; a brother, R. James Lilly of Port Allegany; a brother-in-law, Howard R. Edgreen of Jamestown, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Georgia Ann Edgreen.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday (May 13, 2022) in St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Port Allegany, with Rev. James Campbell, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Port Allegany.
A military service will be conducted by the Port Allegany Honor Guard at 4 p.m. Thursday, in the Switzer Funeral Home.
