Randall Elwood GAUS (a.k.a. Phoenix), 48, of Wellsville, NY, died Saturday, June 27, 2026, in his home. 

Born March 31, 1978, in Wellsville, he was the son of Bernard N. and Sandra L. Price Gaus. Randy attended Wellsville Central School and delivered papers for the Wellsville Daily Reporter for many years. Driven by a passion for electronics, Randy excelled at repairing electrical items and creating custom projects from scratch. He was an enthusiastic member of the Wellsville, NY e-bike/scooter group. He shared his talents with the Hard Luck Rangers Band, serving as their roadie and equipment technician. Randy also found great joy in collecting vintage toys. He had a special place in his heart for dogs, especially his late, faithful companions, Kosmo and Chips. 

Surviving are: his cousins Terri (Matthew) Sanford of Hornell, Patrick (Susan) Herrick of Cuba, Kammi (Joel) Sanford of Bath, Keith Gaus of Perry, and Connie Gaus (Jim) Walker of Huntsville, AL; close friends, Tom and Kandy Hirsch of Wellsville and Roxanne Blouvet of Wellsville; as well as many extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Gayle Marie Gaus; an aunt, Bernice Gaus Wereley; his grandfather, Norman Gaus; a great-aunt, Gertrude Gaus; and great-uncles, Clarence (Louise) Gaus and Lawrence (Virginia) Gaus.
